Flotation reagent BTF Flotation reagent BTF is an aqueous solution of the sodium salt of dibutyldithiophosphoric acid. At temperatures below minus 10 °C it solidifies, turning into a paste-like mass. Empirical formula of the main substance: C8H18S2O2PNa Storage conditions: Flotation reagent BTF is stored in tightly closed containers in covered warehouse premises. Product of grade A is stored at a temperature not lower than minus 10 °C Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture. Field of application: Used as a raw material in the production of additives designed to give motor oils high anticorrosion, antioxidant and antiwear properties. Used in the flotation of ores of non-ferrous and rare metals as a collector. Characterized by strong collecting ability, especially towards copper sulfide minerals. Shows higher selectivity of action compared to xanthates in the separation of sulfides of non-ferrous, rare and precious metals from pyrite. Can also be recommended for the flotation of copper-molybdenum, copper-nickel and other types of sulfide ores. Stable in the pH range 4-12, which allows flotation of sulfides, including iron (pyrite and pyrrhotite), in weakly acidic and acidic media. Increases the extraction of precious metals gold, silver and platinum group metals. Can be used as a collector independently in the form of a 5-20% aqueous solution, in natural form or in combination with xanthates and other dialkyldithiophosphates.
