MIBK is a foaming agent used in non-ferrous metallurgy.
Various sulfhydryl reagents are used as collectors in the flotation of sulfide copper-zinc ores: xanthates, dithiophosphates (Aerofloats), dixanthogenides, Aerofloats and others. Pine oil, cyclohexanol, MIBK, T-66, T-80, TEV and others are used as foaming agents. Modifier reagents (regulators, activators and depressors) are also used: lime, cyanides and sulfates, etc.
